Test Lighting

From the lighting test we found that the best time to film the outside shots would be 4:30 to 4:15 as the outdoor light is dark enough to portray evening but light enough to get a good shot. Also we thought it would be best to use some clear tracing paper over the light to make it a bit less harsh.

Script

We are unsure yet if to write a script as our idea does not include any dialogue.

Change in idea

After a group discussion, we decided that it would be difficult to go with the Christmas theme at this time of year and have decide to drop the theme. We also feel this will make it less cheesy and clique, and more classy.

The original decision to have it set at a party is what we have decided to go with it just will not be themed.

Plan for Audience Research

Focus Group: 16+ Students

Typical teenage film genres

  • Horror
  • Comedy/Rom Com
  • Chic Flicks
  • Fantasy/Sci-Fi
These are known as the typical teen genres but are they really what teenagers want to see?

Our genre is more based at a female audience than a male, therefore we need to ask:
  1. Why the romantic genre is popular?
  2. What makes it popular?
  3. What is the favorite film of this genre?
  4. What do they think is the key part of this genre?
  5. How often do they go to the cinema?
  6. What other way do they watch films? DVDs? Downloads?
  7. What genre do they usually watch?
  8. If they aren't a fan of this genre why not?
  9. Why do you think it is a more popular genre with females?
  10. Do they watch British films?
